The kuripe is a traditional ceremonial tool used by indigenous peoples of the Amazon and also adopted by shamans in the Andean region. It is a V-shaped applicator, generally handmade from natural materials such as palo santo, chonta wood, bone, or bamboo. Its design allows for individual use. The kuripe is handmade by Peruvian artisans in Cusco.
